1st Erindale A Troop/Company – We’re back!
Hello Scouts/Venturer,
*Covid Update* Scouts Canada has informed us that we are now allowed to do in person scouting. Masks will be required when indoors, or when 6ft distancing can’t be maintained. The waiver will need to be signed on drop off for in person meetings. We are currently looking into an online option for the waiver to be filled out prior to dropping off your youth.
*New Meeting Location* Great news! We’ve acquired access to a school gym for our meetings. This will begin in March at a new location. The new location is the gym at Ellengale Public School. Please walk to the back of the school, where there are two big metal doors. You’ll use that to enter the gym. Masks will be required when meeting inside the gym as we’re indoors.
*New Calendar / Website* The provider that we were using previously for our calendar (Google Legacy G_Suite) will be switching to a paid version, so we’ve made some changes to our calendar. If you’ve previously had it downloaded to your phone, please be sure to download the new calendar. One thing that I do is add the calendar to my phone, so with any updates it automatically updates, and I can see it easily. You can add the calendar to your phone by following directions here: www.1sterindalescouts.ca/add-calendar/ If you don’t wish to add to your own calendar, then please check the website for the most up to date calendar here: www.1sterindalescouts.ca/sections/scouts/

Upcoming events: *Tonight* – 7pm – Snowshoeing and tobogganing at Erindale Park. (Dress for weather / Bring a toboggan if you’d like) Meet at the washrooms. Feb 14th – 7pm Online – We’ll be learning how to do Foil Cooking. We’ll go through some ideas and instructions on how it’ll work. Feb 21st – No meeting (Family Day) Feb 28th – 7pm Foil Cooking (Erindale Park). Please create a small meal to cook prior to the meeting, and we’ll cook it at Erindale Park.
I know tonight’s meeting is little to no notice, but hoping that some of you can make it. Scouter Jeff and I look forward to seeing you either tonight, or online next week!
